Obituary

William E. Mee, 52, of Marion died February 13, 2006 unexpectedly due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was the husband of Paula M. (Duchaine) Mee with whom he shared 25 years of marriage.
Born in New Bedford, the son of Jo-Ann (Evans) Mee of Fairhaven and the late William F. Mee, he lived in Fairhaven and Marion most of his life.
Mr. Mee was employed by Brownell Boat Systems for many years.
He was a graduate of Fairhaven High School and attended Curry College and Massasoit College. Mr. Mee later received a degree in boat building form Washington County Vocational Institute in Calias, Maine. He held a captain's license.
He started sailing the waters of Buzzards Bay at the age of three and developed a lifelong passion for the sport. His great skill sailing his beloved ketch, Kathryn L., was recognized in most of the major ports in Southern New England.
Survivors include his wife; his mother; two sons, David Mee and Ryan Mee, both of Marion; a sister, Jennifer Collyer, and her husband Karl, of Fairhaven; an uncle, George "Buster" Evans, and his wife Kathy, of Mattapoisett; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett Friday, February 17th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Thursday, February 16th from 4-8 PM.
