Claire M. O’Connor age 90 of Lawrence, MA, died Monday at the Warde Health Center in Windham, NH.
She was born in Lawrence, MA, where she grew up and was a life long resident.
She graduated from St. Mary’s High School, Emmanuel College, and received a M.A. in Education from Suffolk University.
Miss. O’Connor was a retired Teacher and Assistant Principal for 25 years at the Saunders School in Lawrence, MA.
She was a member of the St. Mary’s Alumni, Emmanuel College Alumni, and the Suffolk University Alumni. She was also a member of the Essex County Teachers Association, the Merrimack Valley Emmanuel College Club, the Greater Lawrence College Club, the Holy Family Auxiliary, and the Shamrock Society of Boston.
She is survived by 4 Nieces: Mary & her Husband Austin Murphy of New Jersey
Mary & her Husband Bob Ashburn of Windham, NH
Elizabeth & her Husband Charlie Labelle of North Andover, MA
Margaret& her Husband Robert Cookson of Oklahoma
2 Nephews: John & his Wife Susan O’Shea of Nashua, NH
Joseph & his Wife Mary O’Connor of Virginia
Several Grand Nieces & Grand Nephews
She was predeceased by 4 brothers: Neal, John, T. Francis, and Joseph O’Connor
She was also predeceased by 2 sisters: Ellen O’Shea & Mary McCarthy
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 17 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, Sisters of Mercy, Windham, NH. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lawrence, MA.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, Feb. 16 from 3-7 PM at Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, Sisters of Mercy, Windham, NH.
