Elaine B. Giers, age 71, of Norton, formerly of Quincy, Dorchester and South Boston, passed away peacefully, at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, on Wednesday, April 22, 2020.
Born in Boston, MA on May 2, 1948, she was a loving and devoted daughter of the late Marie A. (Fanning) Giers, who passed away in 2011 and the late Bernard A. Giers, who passed away accidently two months prior to her birth.
Elaine grew up in South Boston and Dorchester and was a graduate of Monsignor Ryan Memorial High School in Dorchester. She had made her home in Norton for the past twenty-one years and previously resided in Quincy.
Prior to retiring, she had worked at Gillette in Boston and for the United States Postal Service at the South Boston Annex.
Elaine was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield and loved spending time with her adoring family, cooking and taking walks. When younger, she enjoyed bowling and the lifelong memories created at Carson Beach in South Boston.
She was the dear sister of Donna M. Easingwood and her husband Fred of Norton and the loving aunt of Frederick Easingwood, Jr., Kimberly Pattie and her husband Anthony, Kerrie Pike and her husband Zachary, Kevin Easingwood and Christopher Easingwood. She is also survived by many cherished grand nieces and nephews.
Services, along with burial at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Randolph will be private and visiting hours are omitted.
