Paxton: Paul J. Oberg, 59, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. He leaves his current wife Dorothy (Makoni) Oberg and her daughter; his former wife Michaela (Miron) Oberg and her 2 daughters that he loved as his own- Megan deAlmeida and her husband Fabio of Paxton and Arianna Saarinen and her husband Kris of Princeton; 5 grandchildren- Kendal, Shayne, Eleana, Edy Jr., and Emilia; 2 brothers- Kevin Oberg and Mark Oberg ; 2 nieces, 3 nephews., along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins whom he loved dearly.
Paul was born in Worcester, MA son of the late John and Vivian (Nelson) Oberg. He graduated from Wachusett Regional High School class of 1979.
Paul was a successful car salesman for several dealerships here in central Worcester county. He also owned his own landscaping business for over 10 years. Paul was a talented musician. Known as Pauli or the Big ‘O’ to those closest to him. Pauli enjoyed jamming with friends and was known to pick up and play with ease. He had a larger than life presence, with a heart to match.
He enjoyed long rides on his motorcycle and cruising in the Camaro. Above all, Paul cherished his time spent with his family & friends. All of whom, shall miss his infamous Pauli kisses.
A memorial service and burial will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. in Mooreland Cemetery, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements.
