Brenda Mills Hansen, 65, beloved wife of the late Brian Hansen, entered into rest on Monday, April 20, 2020.
Brenda was born in Augusta to the late Clarence and Sue Mills. She retired after working many years with the Augusta Police Department and following her retirement she worked at Bobby Jones Ford. Brenda was a free spirited, old fashioned Southern lady who was strong in her faith and love for her family. She enjoyed genealogy, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
Brenda is survived by her daughter, Lisa Wingate (Brian); her siblings, Clifford Ward, Betty Hall, and Phyllis Landers; her grandchildren, Taylor Wingate, Austin Wingate, Matthew Burnside and Lane Burnside; and by her numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Burnside; and her sister, Nancy Griffey.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions a graveside service will be held at a later date.
