TEWKSBURY – Early Saturday morning, April 18th, Sharon Elizabeth (Bent) Milburn died unexpectedly at Lowell General Hospital after a heart attack at her Tewksbury home. She was 72 years old.
Sharon was born in Concord, MA, one of four children of the late John J. Bent, Jr. and Mary Anne (Condon) Bent. Raised in Concord, Sharon graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School in 1965, and the Robie Business/John Robert Powers School in 1966.
Sharon leaves behind her loving partner, Gary Buonomo, of Hudson, NH.
She is survived by two sisters and her brother: Sally Warner of Concord, MA and her husband Francis; Donna Bent of Keene, NH; and Thomas Bent of Leominster, MA, and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles from the Condon family.
After her second marriage to John Robert (“Bob”) Milburn, Sharon moved to Londonderry, NH and later to Andover, MA to raise her family. Sharon is survived by her son, Nicholas (“Nick”) Bent Milburn and his wife Erica Lee Venuti of Chelsea, VT and her beloved four year old grandson, John Anthony Milburn. Sharon also leaves behind two step-daughters and their wonderful children, Melanie Williamson of Manchester, NH, and her daughters Jenna and Amelia, and Angela Hodge of Keller, TX, and her son Mason and daughter Katie.
Sharon had lived in Tewksbury for the past seventeen years, where she had many great friends, especially around her neighborhood and at her gym. Prior to retiring, she worked for a number of organizations in Massachusetts including Applicon in Bedford, Boreas in Billerica, Intersoft Technologies in Westford, Fred C. Church in Andover, and Mass Health in Tewksbury. Over the last few years, she had done work with Trahan Elementary School in Tewksbury as a classroom and library aid.
Due to the pandemic crisis, her funeral services at St. Bernard Parish Cemetery in Concord, MA will be private. A Memorial Mass and celebration of Sharon’s life and her love of it will be announced when the crisis has ended. In lieu of flowers, donations which provide assistance or relief to workers on the frontline of the pandemic are encouraged. The Tewksbury Funeral Home is honored to serve the Milburn family.
