Charles Jackson Henderson, “Chuck”, 54, of Waterloo passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020, after a short illness. A private graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at Lawrence Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest.
Members of the Henderson family will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Henderson was born on June 4, 1965 in Warner Robins and was the son of Donald Alvin Henderson and Hallie Coarsey Henderson, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by one brother, James “Jimmy” Henderson; and one sister, Katherine “Kathy” Smith.
Mr. Henderson, known by family and friends as “Chuck”, will be remembered for his gracious heart, his charming personality, and the smiles he brought to all who shared his company. As a skilled craftsman, Mr. Henderson, a self-starter, found joy in his profession, as a self-employed contractor. His love for the outdoors, a fishing pole, a campfire, and a barbeque were only complementary to the family and friends, who joined him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline Rebecca Bastian Henderson “Becky” of Waterloo; their two daughters, Brandi Nichole “Nikki” Henderson of Perry, Florida and Carmen Michelle Henderson Mosley of Nashville, Georgia; their one son, Cody Michael Henderson of Charleston, South Carolina; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Laurel Pearson (Donnie) of Enigma, Charlotte Henderson Webb (Will) of Tifton and Donna Henderson Yancey (Steve) of Simpsonville, South Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Sherry Bastian of Tifton and Nina Hubbard of Thomasville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Most affectionally, Mr. Henderson was called “Grand-Daddy” by his five grandchildren, Connor (17), Alanna (13), Addison (10), Brayden (7) and Dawson (3).
A husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son, and friend, Mr. Henderson will forever be remembered to all who knew him as “Chuck”, a good, good man”.
