Obituary

Karen Hourihan passed away peacefully at the Genesis Nursing Home in Milford on Friday, April 17th. We are certain that in her heart she is joyful because she is with her husband John Hourihan, and her mom and dad, Johnny and Vivian Renzulli. Karen had been a resident of the nursing home for the last 7 years; she was well cared for, and an active member of that community. She was a cherished member of Catholic Daughters, thereby bringing the message of love to whomever she encountered. Karen kept in touch with most of her many cousins and friends who will all remember her as a loving person who kept everyone in her prayers. Karen and John met at church and were active participants in St. Joseph's Parish in Medway. They were married for 25 years, and not a day went by where Karen did not say how much she missed and loved John, so we should all take solace in the fact that they are now together forever with God, which is truly a blessing. Karen was a person of few words, but always remembered everyone’s birthdays, and would call and say, “hi”, even if it were just for a few seconds.

During the last few years, Karen had been confined to bed rest. As a testament to her life and spirit, through her trials she never complained or lost faith in her love of family and God. Her warm smile and gentle heart will be missed by all who knew her.
At a later date, when the day allows there will be a memorial mass in celebration of Karen’s life
Will be held in St. Joseph’s Church.
Arrangements are under the care of the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, Medway,(www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
