Elaine J. (Pitrowiski) McLaughlin, 73, of West Roxbury died on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at the Brigham and Womens Faulkner Hospital in Boston.
Born in Boston on May 7, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ruth L. (Elliott) Pitrowiski.
Mrs. McLaughlin was a resident of West Roxbury for the past 10 years and had formerly resided in Weymouth and Dorchester.
Mrs. McLaughlin was a homemaker for most of her life and loved being around her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed music and singing and animals. She loved to draw. She loved people. She had a heart of gold with an electric smile. She would always say “Hi” if a stranger walked by; just her way of brightening someone’s day.
She is survived by five children; William McLaughlin, Jr. and his wife Karen of Nashua, New Hampshire, Kimberley Flaherty and her husband John of Bridgewater, Kelli and Kerri McLaughlin, both of Dorchester and Kenneth McLaughlin and his wife Megan of Everett.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Nicole, William, Matthew, Daniel, Ki, Emma and Brooks, as well as two great-granddaughters, Vivian and Hannah.
She was the sister of the late Philip and Ronald Pitrowiski.
Due to the complications and restrictions regarding the Covid-19 Virus, funeral services will be held privately with burial at Oakland Cemetery in Medway.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Mass Association of Mental Health (MAMH), Rosie’s Place or Pine Street Inn
