Peter A Martel
1991-2020
TEWKSBURY – Peter A. Martel, age 28, a well-known Tewksbury resident, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, following a lengthy battle with drug addiction.
Born in Lowell on October 16, 1991 he was the much loved son of Mark and Patty Martel.
Peter was raised in Tewksbury, attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Tewksbury High School.
During his high school years, Peter was a football player and wrestler for the Tewksbury Redmen.
Peter was employed at Taylor & Son HVAC.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Mark Jr. and his wife Amanda, Timothy and Joseph Martel, his nephew Leo Martel; his paternal grandfather, Arnold Martel; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Peter was all about family. He loved his brothers and they loved him right back.
He tried so hard to fight this disease. He wanted nothing more than to be well and spend time with his family.
Peter enjoyed spending time with his brothers; boating, fishing and playing pool at the lake, playing football in the yard, fixing what was broken and being with friends and family.
Peter will be remembered for his beautiful smile, infectious laugh and love for his family.
He had a kind heart and was never too busy to help anyone. He was a great person and will be missed more than words can say. Fly high and rest easy – the fight and agony are over.
May you find peace and love in the arms of the angels and know your family loves you forever and always.
Peter was the paternal grandson of the late Joan Martel and maternal grandson of the late Peter and Catherine Peters,
He was also predeceased by his aunt , Christine Peters Delaney and his cousin, Linda Peters.
Due to current public health circumstances, all services for Peter are private. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery.
