Victor Manual Lopez Castro, of Boston, MA formerly of Miami, FL and Havana, Cuba, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at the age of 74. He was the son of Manuel and Carmen Castro of Galicia, Spain and husband of the late Cecilia Del Rio. Victor was the devoted father to Victor M. Castro, Jr., his wife Megan Castro, and his three grandchildren, Maya, Simon and Claire Castro.
Victor was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. He moved to El Salvador at the age of 16 and then to New York City where he spent many years and became a die-hard Yankees fan. He later moved to Miami, Florida where he enjoyed varied careers as a mainframe operator, airport shuttle driver and business owner. He recently moved to Boston to be closer to family and his grandchildren. In his many adventures and travels he always showed remarkable resilience through laughter and kindness.
Due to safety concerns a memorial mass will be held at a future date.
