Donald E. Sturtevant, 85, of Greenville, died peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at home. He was the husband of Sheila R. (Sylveste) Sturtevant. They had been married for 60 years.
Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Frank E. and Hazel (Gillan) Sturtevant. He had lived in Greenville for the past 50 years. He had served in the US Army.
Prior to working as a supervisor for TMI, Inc. in Lincoln, Donald worked for many years in the dairy industry as a milk pasteurizer. He was a member of the Smithfield Lodge of Elks, BPOE 2359 where he enjoyed playing cards on Monday nights. He was a communicant of St. Philip Church, he had a love for golfing, enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid Red Sox fan.
He is survived by his children: Debra Fiorenzano and her husband, Frank of Johnston, Kimberly Shardlow and her husband, Kenneth of Johnston, Donald Sturtevant, Jr. and his wife, Paula of Greenville, his grandchildren: Nicholas and Daniel Fiorenzano, Ashlee Sturtevant, Kristina and Jennifer Shardlow, his sisters: Hazel Christowkski of CA, Carol Perfetto of Cranston and Nancy DiFilippo of CA. He was the brother of the late Shirley Crandall and Barbara Weston.
