Obituary

Jarod Walter Schlieff, 42, passed away on Friday April 10, 2020 at his home in Whitman. Jarod is survived by his two loving children Alyssa and Kyle, whom he adored and loved beyond words. He is also survived by his loving family members; mother Elsie, predeceased father Scott, sister Valerie and her husband Rob, his brother Derek and his girlfriend Sharon, his brother Scott and wife Traci, as well as Jarod’s ex-wife Monique. He is also survived by his two nephews Jensen and Jaden and three nieces Samantha, Claudia, and Jordyn.

Jarod was born on January 26, 1978 at Brockton Hospital to Scott and Elsie Schlieff. He grew up in Abington and graduated class of 1996 from South Shore Vo Tech. Growing up, he loved playing soccer, watching Dukes of Hazzard with his dad and going for nature walks. Spending time at the quarries was one of his favorite pastimes throughout his life; it was a place of peace and comfort for him. He had a love of all types of music, but rock and roll/80’s was his favorite to listen to especially while he was working on his cars and trucks. He worked in his trade of carpentry for over 20 years. He was great with his hands and had an endless amount of knowledge when it came to fixing things. Truly a jack of all trades, he even had a passion for drawing when he was young. He was a sports lover and a competitive one at that, from playing horseshoes and baseball in the backyard with family at cookouts, to just watching games on tv, and it made him very proud when he attended his son’s basketball games. Jarod was a devoted, loving and supportive father and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a caring, hard working person that you could always count on to be there if you needed help. A smile and positive attitude about life was how he lived. He was quick with a joke and could always make you laugh, truly one of a kind and will be missed by many.

He will be loved and remembered through all the fond and cherished memories that his family and friends have of him. His stories will live on and may his life be talked about for many years to come. He will always be in our hearts, and until the day we meet again, we love you forever and always. Muahhh xoxo.

Due to circumstances with COVID-19, private family services will be held, burial will be in the Mt Vernon Cemetery , Abington.
