Karol Ann (Beckman ) Zahner, 72, of Walpole, died peacefully April 15 at the Harrington Nursing Home in Walpole.
Born in Milford, November 18, 1947, the daughter of the late John Richard and Lucille (Pidgeon) Beckman, Mrs. Zahner was raised in Franklin and had lived in Walpole for several years.
She was a 1965 graduate of Franklin High School.
Karol loved NASCAR and spending time with her two cats Fluff and Nutter. She treasured going out to dinner with her niece and nephew and to the movies with her cousin.
Karol is survived by her devoted son Paul J. Zahner, Jr. and his wife Courtney and their son Jake of North Attleboro. She was the grandmother “Nana” of the late Katie Zahner.
Karol’s face used to light up talking about her grandchildren, and she embraced every moment watching her grandson Jake grow up. Being a Nana was certainly her favorite job in life.
She is also survived by her brothers Paul Beckman and his wife Joanne and their children Kim and Brett of North Attleboro and John Beckman and his wife Cindy and their children Katie and Jen of Franklin.
