Obituary

Mary Hill of Franklin formerly of Bronx, New York passed away peacefully on April 14 with her son by her side.

No matter where she was, be it the Bronx, Concannons in Norwood, the Catskills, the Irish Village on the Cape, her various New Year's Eve outings and even Ireland, she was the absolute star of the dance floor, cutting it up to the Noel Henry Irish Band. If you wanted to see true happiness, you needed to see her dancing. Many years ago she taught young girls some of her famous moves in the basement on Everett Street.

She was a hard worker, still working at age 87, and then health issues came but didn't stop her from meeting friends at the local watering holes to knock back a couple of Whiskey Sours. Her generosity was second to none.

She was a huge Red Sox fan, never missing a game, staying up until the last out no matter how long of a game. But what she did love the most was being a Mother, and she was the best one the Lord ever created.

She is predeceased by her husband Johnny and daughter Joannie. She leaves her son Kevin and his two sons, Shaun and his wife Laura, and Cody and his fiancé Alexa, and Shaun's children Kailee, Kenz, Devin and Riley. She also leaves her daughter Helen and her husband Glenn, and their son Chris and his partner Lauren, and their children Isabelle and Annika.

She also leaves many loved nieces and nephews in New York. Last but not least, she leaves behind her dog Layla who never left her side.

Because of this corona thing, there will be a private service at St. Mary's Cemetery on Friday, April 17 at 11:30 a.m., but all are welcome to drive on down. When this virus thing is over, there will be a Celebration of her amazing life somewhere and everyone will know about it!!
