WORCESTER-Cherise M. “Chea” O’Day, 42, of 329 Greenwood Street, died Wednesday, February 8 in UMASS Memorial Healthcare after a long struggle with Leukemia. She leaves her mother Virginia M. (Pruneau-O’Day) Patton of Northborough, her father, Stephen M. O’Day of Worcester, a brother, Stephen L. O’Day, a sister, Christine L. O’Day, both of Worcester, maternal grandmother, Florence (Ellison-Pruneau) Pendell of Northborough, three nephews, Ryan M., Stephen P. and Keith J. O’Day, a niece, Cierra Rose Carlin O’Day, aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles and cousins.
She was born in Worcester and attended Burncoat High School. Cherise worked for the former First Data Investor Services Group and was also a chef at various Worcester area restaurants.
Visiting hours are Friday, February 17 from 5 until 8 PM in CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street. The funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 18 at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry Street. Burial will be held at a later date.
