Obituary

James Eugene Honohan, 94, of Walpole died April 9 in the Charlwell House in Norwood. He was the husband of the late Nancy (Hammond) Honohan.

Born in Boston, October 17, 1925, the son of the late Robert E. and Mary T. (Burns) Honohan, Mr. Honohan was a lifelong Walpole resident.

Jim served as a member of the Walpole Police Department from 1958 until retiring in 1990.

He served in the Pacific Theatre Navy during World War II , attaining the rank of Motor Machinist Mate Third Class. He and his two brothers were all members of the American Legion.

He is survived by his son James W. Honohan of Walpole.

He was the brother of the late, Veronica Carter, John Honohan, Madeline Dodge and Joseph Honohan.

All services were private, with burial at St. Francis Cemetery, South Walpole.
