JONES, Ray longtime resident of Springfield, MA as well as recently Springhill, Florida passed away on Friday, April 10, 2020 after a brief illness. He was 89. Beloved husband of Doris (Frazier) Jones, married for 68 Years. Loving father to Carol Gleeson and husband Walter of West Roxbury, Deborah Dullea and husband Maurice of Villages, Fla., Ray Jones and wife Cheryl of Springfield, Laurie Holt and late husband Edward of East Springfield, Larry Jones and fiancee Kim of Chicopee, and Alicyn Rivera and husband Peter of Chicopee. Devoted grandfather to 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren (2 more on way) and 1 great-great-grandchild. Ray was a veteran of US Army and Air Force. He retired from the PV Transit Authority after many years as a supervisor. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his family. A celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
