Bernice A. (Dion) Depot, age 76, of Norton, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
Born in Taunton, MA on October 3, 1943, she was a loving daughter of the late Louise (Sarvia) Koss and the late Raymond Dion.
Bernice grew up in Taunton, was a graduate of Taunton High School and received her certification in hairdressing.
A resident of Norton for many years, she was a retired patient caregiver at the Wrentham State School and at the former Paul A. Dever State School in Taunton and had also worked as a lunch lady at both the Norton Middle School and the Norton High School.
A communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Norton, Bernice’s greatest joy in life was her adoring family. She also enjoyed having lunch with friends and for many years was a faithful blood donor.
She is survived by her devoted children: Cheryl A. Arenburg of Woonsocket, Rene M. Depot of North Attleboro and Stephani Harper of Norton. She was the cherished grandmother of Renee Arenburg, Dustin Dunhill and Joey harper. She was dear longtime companion of William Hunt of Somerset and the former wife of Rene A. Depot of Rochester. She is also survived by her siblings as well as nieces and nephews.
Services, along with burial at the Norton Center Cemetery will be private and visiting hours are omitted.
A service in celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
