Aniole Marie Dumornay (born Marie Aniolie Imozy), 102, of Warwick, Rhode Island passed away on Monday, April 6, 2020 at the home of her daughter surrounded by family. Born in Haiti on October 17, 1917, she was the daughter of Ulisse Imozy and Vernelie Cadet, both deceased.
Aniole was the beloved wife of the late Bishop Michel Carmeleau Dumornay and the loving mother of Marie Elizane, Gregoire (deceased), Marie Berthonine, Jean Resler, Marie Ghislaine (deceased), Joseph Michelet, Louis Emmanuel (Deceased), Estanislas (deceased), George (deceased), Luc Pierre, Marc Elie, and Marie Yvrose. Aniole is survived by 37 grandchildren, 71 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandchild
A fierce believer and follower of Christ, Aniole dedicated her life to helping her husband build many churches in Haiti, helping the less fortunate and ministering the Gospel to all she came across. She was admired by many and was cherished in her communities. Aniole was a faithful servant until her final days on earth.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the family will have a brief gathering on Friday, April 10 from 9:00 am-12:00 pm at the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale, MA.
Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery.
