Palmesois Benoit passed away at the age of 107 years. He peacefully departed this life on Monday, April 6, 2020 at the Saint Joseph Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. He was born in Haiti in 1913. He was married to Genia Fervil for over 40 years who preceded him in death in 1988. He moved to the United States in 2005 and lived with his daughter in Boston.
Palmesois had 5 brothers and 1 sister. He had 10 children (7 daughters and 3 sons). Palmesois is survived by two daughters, two sons, and one brother. He will be remembered by his children, brother, 24 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other family members, and many others who knew him. Palmesois will be missed by the whole Benoit family from all over.
Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, the family will have a brief gathering on Monday, April 13 from 10:00-11:00 am at the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale. to be followed with burial at the St. Michael Cemetery in Roslindale.

If you feel the need to attend the wake and are healthy enough to do so, please follow these guidelines:
1)Please wait in your vehicle in the Funeral Home Parking Lot until you are asked to enter the funeral home. (This is to help prevent forming a human line)
2)Please pass by family at a safe distance, be respectful to the family by no touching, hugging, kissing or personal contact.
3)Pay your respects to the deceased and then EXIT the funeral home.
4)Please sign the ON-LINE Share a Memory/Tribute Wall" before or after you attend. There will not be a Family Register Book available in Funeral Home. (This is to prevent sharing a writing pen)
