Donald G. Schaefer, 73

Donald G. Schaefer, age 73, recently of Raynham, MA a former thirty-five- year resident of Arlington, VT, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2020 at Tufts Medical center in Boston. He was the beloved husband of the late Maryanne L. (Greve) Schaefer who died on April 13, 2017.
Born in Jersey City, New Jersey on May 20, 1946, he was a loving son of the late Robert G. and Mabel E. (Christensen) Schaefer.
Don grew up and was educated in New Jersey. During the time of the Vietnam War, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.
Mr. Schaefer was a Sales Engineer and for over forty years was employed at Bijur Lubrications in Vermont. Throughout his life he was a firm believer in hard work and outside the working world he enjoyed playing tennis and skiing.
He is survived by his devoted children: Donald R. Schaefer and his wife Caroline of Norton and Kimberly A. Tanna and her husband Pathik of Union City, New Jersey. He is also survived by his cherished grandson Oliver Schaefer.
Services, along with burial at West Arlington Cemetery in West Arlington, Vermont will be private and visiting hours have been omitted.
