Lorraine, a native of Ventura born in 1927, passed away at home on April 3, 2020.
She was at Ventura High School during World War II and recalled waiting in line on Main Street to get nylon stockings, which were rare. It was in high school that she met Max Houlihan. The sweethearts married in 1949 and had three daughters. Max died, tragically, in 1955. After Max's death, Lorraine completed her college education and received her teaching credential. She taught elementary school at Blanche Reynolds until her retirement. She met Lloyd Davis, a high school math teacher, in 1966. They married in 1968. Lloyd had 2 children and, together, they formed "The Brady Bunch." What a lively home it was! They considered Ventura a 'paradise' and loved living here. Lloyd passed away in 2018.
Lorraine is survived by Elain Davis Thompson, Kathleen Houlihan Lee, Ron Davis, and Patricia Houlihan Elseth. Their youngest daughter, Mary Houlihan Vourlas passed away in 1992. Lorraine also has 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Her family would like to thank her caregivers for their attention and friendship over the years. Services are pending. Arrangements are under the direction of the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, Ventura.
