Mario A. Pacheco, 60, of Fall River passed away April 5, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was the loving husband of Zelia M. (DaPonte Melo) Pacheco to whom he had been married for 39 years.
Born in the Azores, he was a son of the late Jose R. and Georgina Maria ( Farias Amaral) Pacheco.
Mr. Pacheco had worked as a Laborer for Rhode Island Nurseries, Inc. in Middletown RI for 42 years until he became ill. He was a communicant of the former St. Anne’s Church in Fall River and had been a Treasurer for the St. Cecelia Philharmonic Band of which he was a member for the past 5 years. He enjoyed drawing, woodworking, gardening and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Along with his wife, survivors include his daughters: Patricia Pacheco of New Bedford and Christina Pacheco of Dartmouth; his grandchildren: Myles Imbriglio and Tatyana Hernandez; his siblings: Jose Pacheco, Luis Pacheco, Olivia Amaral, Elidio Pacheco, Dionisio Pacheco and Edward Pacheco, all of Fall River and Elaine Pacheco of Westport; several nieces and nephews.
Due to current circumstances, burial will be private. A Memorial Service for Mario will be held at a later date.
