Roy William Moore, Jr. 92, of Anderson died April 3, 2020 at Community Hospital.
He was born March 28, 1928, in Anderson, the son of Roy and Mildred (Becraft) Moore, Sr.
He served in the United States Navy during WW II.
He was a truck driver at Emgee for 44 years followed by 20 years at True Value Hardware. He was a Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post in Lapel. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf.
He is survived by his wife, Harriett (Hersberger) Spearman-Moore of Anderson; three children, Marilyn (Doug) Covington of Fairmount, Illinois, Christy Brown of Anderson and Ted (Karen) Spearman of Fishers; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; one nephew, Danny Layton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Moore; sister, Frances Layton and a daughter, Mary Young.
Private burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Heart Association of Salvation Army in Anderson.
