Heather Ann Moore 54, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2020 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, ME.
She was born on August 31, 1965 in Exeter, NH, the daughter of Kelvin and Ruth Dalton.
Heather was never one to sit still and let life pass her by. Although quiet, she had a ‘wild’ side that was ready to surface in order to experience what life had to offer. She always wanted to be free to feel the sun and enjoy the good times. Many of these good times were spent on motorcycle trips with her partner, Keith. Along with her zest for living life, Heather also had an entrepreneurial spirit and sharp mind. If something interested her she would pursue it and do it well. Among other things, she obtained her Maine real estate license, dabbled in computer web page design, substitute taught, and even helped her daughter, Camille with her sled dog team. Adventure always called though, so Heather often worked at jobs that would allow her some freedom. A sticker on her motorcycle helmet sums this up well. It says, ‘I have a degree in Sociology. You want fries with that?’ Heather loved people! The blue-eyed lady with a smile; she could ‘read’ you in a second, but she did not judge. Her son, Trent remembers working with her and how she would always try to cheer up those around her by singing songs from one of her favorite bands, Journey. Friends and strangers alike felt welcomed and accepted by Heather and people just gravitated to her. She also had a big heart for animals, starting from when she was young and an enthusiastic participant in 4-H. Despite moving quite a bit, Heather always had some kind of pet with her; ranging from ferrets and a gecko all the way to English Sheepdogs. She particularly loved her Maine Coon cat, Scooter. Heather always believed, “It’s not what you’ve done in life, but how you lived it that matters.”
She will be forever missed by friends and family alike for her quick wit, her adventuresome spirit, and her warm, caring heart.
Smell the air, feel the water and stand free!
Heather is survived by both parents, her brother Tim, her sister in law Nora, her sister Noreen, her two children Camille and Trent, her soul-mate, Keith aka Harley Man, a grand-daughter Lyric, as well as her nieces Nicole and Jessica.
No services will be held at this time.
