Limerick, Maine - Beverlea J. (Boyns) Patten, 90, of Limerick died at her home in Limerick on March 28, 2020 after a long illness. She was born in Fitchburg, Mass. on September 21, 1929 a daughter of Philip and Elsie (Grabner) Hawes.
Beverlea grew up in Grafton, Mass. and graduated from Grafton High School in 1947. She was a homemaker and enjoyed camping, reading, singing in church choirs, and caring for her cats. She attended many churches and was currently a member of the Limerick Free Baptist Church.
She was predeceased by her son, Robert C. Boyns, her first husband, Robert E. Boyns, and her sister, Joyce Nordyke as well as many close family members.
Beverlea leaves behind her husband of 29 years, Emery Patten, her son, Stephen Boyns and wife Pauline, her daughter, Janet Burgess and husband Stephen, 2 grandchildren, Derek and Kristin as well as 2 great grandchildren. She also leaves stepchildren: Mike Patten, Steve Patten, Darlene Louchart, Mary Knoll and Kimberly Shields, and their children.
The family would like to thank her caregivers and hospice for all the love and support given to Beverlea over the last several years.
A graveside service in Limerick is planned for later in the spring.
