Rosa (Rossi) Magaletta of Medford passed away on Saturday, March 28, at Care Dimensions Hospice House of Lincoln, MA. Born and raised in Anzano, Foggia, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Pietro and Giovanna (Fabiano) Rossi. Rosa moved to Argentina in 1954, then came to the U.S. in 1970 and settled in Medford.
Rosa was the beloved wife of the late Michael Magaletta, and the devoted mother of Vicky Magaletta of Medford, Carlos Magaletta of N. Andover, and the late Elio Magaletta. She was the loving grandmother of Michael, Adam and Matthew Magaletta, and the dear sister of Gina Rossi of Argentina and the late Mario and Maria Rossi. Rosa is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews in the U.S. and cousins in Canada.
Funeral services will be private with a celebration of Rosa's life to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Rosa's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
