Matriarch of her loving family
ANDOVER: Altagracia Delosangeles, age 78, of Andover, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, March 25, 2020.
Born in San Francisco De Macoris, Dominican Republic on January 2, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Jose Rosario Garcia and the late Josefa Margarita (Rosario) de Rosario.
She worked for the Western Electric Company, and later owned and operated a restaurant in Miami, FL, until her retirement.
Alta enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, spending time with her family, and vacationing in the Dominican Republic and Florida.
She is survived by her daughters, Dalina Fantini and her husband Robert of Andover, Evelyn Black of Andover, and Cindy Mena and her husband David Ladone; grandchildren, Alex Fantini of Atkinson, NH, Amanda Fantini of Andover, Camile Fantini of Andover, Dylan Black of Andover, Kash Ladone and Charlie Ladone of Andover.
Due to current public health circumstances, funeral services were held privately. Interment was at West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover. The family plans to have a memorial service celebrating Altagracia’s life at a later date. Those who wish may make a donation in her memory at www.gofundme.com/hogar-de-ninas.
