Carl Fred “Pat” Starke, III, 68, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at his residence.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Starke was born March 16, 1952, in Brunswick, Georgia, to the late Carl Fred Starke, Jr. and Carolyn Cox Rose. He moved to the community in 1994 and was a chemical operator for Hercules and Bold Corp. and also a truck driver for Ross of Georgia. Mr. Starke was a member of Brunswick Lodge #214 F.&A.M., was a 32-degree Scottish Rite and York Rite Mason, and was a Shriner at Alee Temple in Savannah.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Deborah Starke of Ocilla; a son, Carl Fred “Bo” Starke, IV of Augusta; a daughter, Erin Starke of Ocilla; grandchildren: Brandon Tyler Rowell and Trevor Dean Rowell; great-granddaughter, Layla Rowell; and three sisters: Jonelle Stephens, Hellen Starke and Michelle Starke, all of Statesboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, James Andrew “Drew” Starke.
