EAST LONGMEADOW ~ Shirley V. Collins, 59, of East Longmeadow, was Called Home on Thursday, March 19, 2020. She entered into Eternal Life at home surrounded by all of the memories that she loved and cherished. She was born in Springfield on February 25, 1961, a beloved daughter of the late James A. and Eleanor V. (Stewart) Collins. She was raised in East Longmeadow, graduated from East Longmeadow High School in 1979 and had lived on Sedgwick Street in Springfield for 20 years before returning to East Longmeadow. She furthered her education and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business from Bay Path University in Longmeadow. She was employed for many years as a customer service representative at ISO New England in Holyoke. During her leisure time, she enjoyed walking and exercising, visiting the ocean often and spending time with her beloved nephews, nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces. She was a friend of Bill W. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and her many friends. She leaves her six beloved brothers and sisters, Kathleen Costello-Gordon and her husband, Albert Gordon, of Westfield, Margaret Collins and Nancy Yacavone, both of Springfield, Janice Collins of East Longmeadow, John Collins of Springfield and her twin, Sheila Allen of East Longmeadow; and her many cherished nephews, nieces, grand nephews, grand nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved brother and sister-in-law, James M. Collins and his wife, Regina. Her funeral services and burial will be held at a later date and time to be announced. There are no visiting hours.
