Joanne M. (Anson) Magliarditi age 80 of New Bedford, died March 18, 2020 at her home under the care of hospice. Joanne was born and raised in Russell, New York, a daughter of the late William and Sophie (Frangus) Anson. She had lived in New Bedford for the past seven years and previously lived in Taunton for many years.
A graduate of Russell High School, she also earned an associate degree at Massasoit Community College. Joanne worked as a nurse’s aide in several Brockton area nursing homes, but the job she enjoyed most was managing the take out counter at the Tip Top Café in Brockton with her sister Dagmar.
She also co-owned a business with her sister Dagmar. Mag-Dag was a residential and commercial cleaning company that they ran for numerous years.
Joanne loved gardening, watching movies and listening to country music. Most importantly she enjoyed time spent with her family.
Joanne was the mother of Dianna Magliarditi-Morse and her husband Fred Morse of Taunton; Joseph Magliarditi of Millinocket, Maine; William Magliarditi and his wife Carolyn of Brockton and the late Peter Magliarditi and his wife Brenda of Brockton. She also leave nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and her sister Dagmar Pierce with whom she made her home in New Bedford.
