Alan W. Cieto, 87, of Westport, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020 at Sacred Heart Home. He was the husband of the late Lillian (Rapoza) Cieto.
Mr. Cieto was born in Acushnet, son of the late Joseph and Bernice (Feenan) Cieto and had been a longtime resident of Westport. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served his country in the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, he was the Deputy Chief for the Westport Police Department. Mr. Cieto was a Communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport.
Survivors include his son: Michael J. Cieto of Westport; his daughter: Jayne A. Zoella and her husband Teo of Thousand Oaks, CA; brother: Arthur Cieto and his wife Carol of New Bedford; 4 grandchildren: Jason Cieto, Alan Cieto III, Michael Cieto II and Mary Hirsch; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Alan W. Cieto, Jr. and brother of the late Joseph Cieto, Jr. and Mary Curtain.
Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, March 20, 2020 at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport at 11:00 A.M.
