Donald M. Burqhardt, 65, of Meadowbrook Drive, Johnston, passed away on Friday, March 13th at Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the beloved husband of Maryann (Laliberte) Burghardt. They were married for 43 years.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Thomas and Evelyn (Wilks) Burghardt. He had lived in Johnston his whole life. He had been a Computer Technician with UTC before retiring.
He enjoyed auto mechanics, NASCA and all animals. He was an avid New England Patriot and Boston Bruin fan.
He was the brother of Beverly Luchka of Scituate, William Burqhardt of East Providence and Robert Burghardt of North Providence. He was the father of the late John P. Burghardt.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, March 18th at 11am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Visitation 10 to 11am. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the RI SPCA, 186 Amaral St, Riverside, RI 02915
