CLARK, Marjorie J. (Higgins) Of Wellesley, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2020 at Avita of Newburyport. Devoted wife of the late William D. Higgins and the late Raymond E. Clark. Loving mother of James G. Higgins and wife, Jean of Needham, Elizabeth (Higgins) Bartlett and husband Michael of West Newbury, and Linda (Higgins) Boyce and partner Chris Stoeckel of Frenchtown, NJ.
Dear grandmother of Sarah Boyce, Amy Bartlett and her husband Wayne Heil, Jeffrey Bartlett and his wife Meghan, and Caroline Boyce. Proud great-grandmother of Madison Bartlett. Also survived by nephew Edmund (Ted) Maiorana and his wife, Louellen of Medway.
Born in Quincy, raised in Braintree, Marjorie was the cherished daughter of Ralph and Elizabeth Hull. She was a former supervisor for New England Tel & Tel, where she met her husband Bill. While raising their three children, Marjorie was a devoted member of St. James the Great Church in Wellesley, where she was a long-time parishioner. She served many times as president of St. James Women's Guild as well as a Eucharistic Minister, both at St. James and St. Paul's Churches in Wellesley.
After Bill's passing, Marjorie married Ray Clark, also a member of St. James Church and long-time friend.
While residing in Wellesley, Marjorie was a member of Wellesley Hills Women's Club, The Friendship Circle of Wellesley, and the Wellesley Society of Artists. Marjorie was an accomplished artist in the area of tole painting and generously shared her talents with friends and family.
The family wishes to express its heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Avita of Newburyport and Compassus Hospice for their love and compassionate care.
Visitation and Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
