Michael Ronald Olsen of Roseville, Minnesota passed away on March 9th, 2020 at age 70.
Michael was born September 26, 1949 in Milaca, MN to Ronald and Bernice Olsen. He spent his childhood years through high school in Milaca. Many of his childhood summers were spent at the family cabin on Mille Lacs Lake, where he would enjoy taking his own sons as they were growing up as well. After high school he went to the Twin Cities for college and became a Registered Nurse. He spent his early years in this career working in different emergency rooms and newborn intensive care units around the Twin Cities. After many years working in different hospitals he then made the shift to working as a telephone triage nurse for HealthPartners. He worked for HealthPartners for over 30 years before retiring.
Michael loved the outdoors, going for long walks, canoeing, biking and spending time in nature. He also was involved in many different ministries throughout the years, from working with prisoners here in Minnesota to helping build churches in Africa and supporting orphanages in India. He loved to travel, especially to Israel, which he visited many times to walk in the footsteps of Jesus and deepen his faith in God. He also loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons Joshua, Caleb and Benjamin; brothers Mark, Keith, Kevin; and nine loving grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
A special thank you to the people at Lyngblomsten and Davita in Roseville for their loving care and support in his final days.
