Lucille Marjorie Anderson, 89, of Derry, NH, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2020, in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry. She was born in Wells, ME, on June 14, 1930, daughter of the late Murdice and Gladys (Daggett) Craig, and had been a resident of Derry for the past 45 years, previously living in Essex, MA, and Windham, NH. Lucille was raised and educated in Durham, ME.
Lucille was a wonderful cook and was famous for her superb apple pies. Her beautiful piano playing was truly remarkable. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Lucille put her family above all else. Always stylish, she enjoyed shopping, wintering in Florida, and spending time with family and friends. Her unique sense of humor was a source of great joy to all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Paul N. Anderson, three children, Ray Anderson and wife Kathleen, Craig Anderson and Lois Mirbach, and Jayne Conrad and husband Brian; five grandchildren, Kristen Ascenzi and husband Michael, Glenn Anderson and wife Jenna, Dane Anderson and wife Jessica, Matthew Conrad, Jamie Howe and husband Andrew; and three great-grandchildren, Samuel Ascenzi, Sydney Anderson, and Riddick Howe.
Calling hours were held on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 6 to 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A Funeral service was held on Saturday, March 14th at 10:00am in the funeral home. Burial followed in the Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
