Tommy Lee Clements, 65, of Ocilla, Georgia, went to his heavenly home Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Pruitt Health in Fitzgerald, Georgia after a long illness.
Graveside services will be held 3 PM, Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Lax Community Cemetery in Irwin County, Georgia, with the Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 1 PM until 2:30 PM, at The Paulk Funeral Home in Ocilla, Georgia.
Mr. Clements was born November 18, 1954, in Adel, Georgia, to the late Wylie Anderson Clements and Dorothy Dean Dillard Clements. After retiring as the Crime Investigator from the Ocilla Police Department, he worked side by side, for 18 years, with his best friend at Chaney Construction, Inc. in Ocilla. Mr. Clements loved spending time with his wife of 20 years and their two children. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, yard work, gardening, fishing, riding dirt roads and listening to the Allman Brothers Band.
He is survived by his wife Amanda Clements of Ocilla and their two children: Abby Chaney of Cumming and T.J. Clements of Ocilla; two daughters: Stacey Clements of Fitzgerald and Tracey Hines of Warner Robins; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild, two brothers; two sisters; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a younger brother.
