Regina T. "Jean" (Cronauer) Mello, 90, of Westport died March 5, 2020 at home.
She was the wife of the late Ernest B. Mello, Jr.
Born and raised in Hastings, PA, daughter of the late Philip N. and Mildred (Weber) Cronauer, she lived in New Bedford before moving to Westport in 2001.
She was a registered nurse at St. Luke's Hospital for many years until her retirement.
Mrs. Mello was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church where she was a CCD teacher and a member of Holy Name Women's Guild.
Mrs. Mello was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader.
She enjoyed arts and crafts.
Survivors include a son, James Mello and his wife Maria of Morgan Hill, CA; 2 daughters, Jane Levin and her husband Ric of Woodland, CA and Joyce Beaulieu and her husband Mark of Westport; 2 sisters, Betty Finet of Hastings, PA and June Kelly of West Finley, PA; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Robert Cronauer, Regis Cronauer, Myles Cronauer, Trudy Dreager and Aleta Yonkosky.

Due to current regulations on public gatherings, the Funeral Mass will be held privately for immediate family. Private family burial with follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery. Visiting hours will be at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford on Tuesday, March 17th from 4-8 PM.
