Jack D. Auld, age 64, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. He was the beloved longtime companion of Kathleen (Falotico) Cooper, with whom he made his home.
Born in Attleboro, MA on September 9, 1955, he was a loving son of the late Cora A. (Harrigan) Largesse and the late George H. Auld, Sr.
Jack grew up and was educated in town. He was a 1973 graduate of Mansfield High School, where he was a standout basketball and baseball player. He furthered his education; attending North Adams State College where he excelled in baseball and had the distinction of being scouted by the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees.
Jack will always be remembered for his strong and loyal work ethics and his devotion to family and friends. He had worked in the warehouse at the Pastene Co. in Canton for sixteen years and had previously been employed at the Tighe Warehouse in Mansfield.
In addition to Kathleen, he is survived by his children Sean Auld, Shannon Dumican and Kerri Webster. He was the dear brother of William Auld of Florida, John Auld and his wife Karen of Warwick, RI, James Auld of Mansfield, Cindi Beausoliel and her husband Bart of Mansfield and the late Christine Waller, George Auld, Jr. and Linda Perry. He was loved dearly by Kathleen’s daughter Lori Cooper and her children Brett and Stephen and is also survived by his 6 grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday, March 7th from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of visitation on Saturday at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.
