Donnabelle Needler, 87, passed away on March 1, 2020, at the Woodlands in Muncie.
She was born on June 21, 1932, to Harry and Inez (Summa) Belangee, in Anderson, where she was born and raised. Donnabelle graduated from Anderson High School in 1950. She was very active with her class and the many events they held. She retired from Vectren Gas (Indiana Gas), where she began work at the age of 18.
Donnabelle married Marshall Needler on June 2, 1956 and had one child.
She loved to garden and tend to her flowers. She also loved to travel. She and her husband, Marshall, went many places and did so every chance they could. She loved going out West to visit her brother Harry and his wife, Dorothy. On many occasions, they were joined by her brother Bob and his wife, Betty; her sister, Gaynelle and her husband Mark. She spoke often of these trips and her memories. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Anderson.
She is survived by her daughter, Marsha (Paul) Dennis; two grandchildren Erica (Dusty) Gilpin and Bryan Dennis; two great-grandsons, Nolan and Dylan Gilpin; sister-in-law, Betty Belangee and several nieces and nephews.
Donnabelle was preceded in death by, her husband of 59 years, her parents, two brothers and a sister.
Services will be at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, at 12 noon, Thursday, March 5, 2020. Viewing from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with the funeral following. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family wants to thank the staff at the Woodlands, and her roommate, Faye, for their compassion and caring.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Woodlands.
