David Paul Sullivan, 71, of Londonderry, NH, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020, peacefully in his home. He was born in Arlington, MA on July 10, 1948, a son of Paul and Claire (Hannigan) Sullivan.
David was a proud father, loyal friend and devoted family man. He especially loved spending time with his grandkids and watching them grow. When he wasn’t enjoying time with friends or family, you could find him blasting down the road on one of his Harley’s, fixing or building something (usually for someone else), dabbling with photography, stopping by a classic car show, practicing his shot at the gun range, or happily relaxing at home while listening to the oldies. Nothing made him happier than riding his motorcycles to the seacoast and making a pit stop for some seafood.
He was a diehard University of Wisconsin football fan and alumnus. He was recruited as a member of the university’s gymnastics team and had played football for the Badgers. Despite earning a bachelor’s degree focused on social work, David’s talents landed him in the field of engineering. He later retired as a well accomplished engineer with several patents.
David is survived by his two daughters, Athena Sweeney and Jessica Sullivan White; his grandchildren; Aaron and Andrew Sweeney and Lillian White; his brother, Peter Sullivan; his three sisters, Karen McClellan, Susan Carroll and Janet Moran, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
