Rita A. Corrado, of Medford, passed away on Thursday, February 20th. She was 91. Born in Revere, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Rose (DeRocco) Corrado.
Rita enjoyed going to the movies, watching a play at the theater and catching up on her favorite sitcoms. She was a proud member of the Senior Citizens of Medford and the Chatter Box Club, an all ladies club affiliated with John Hancock. At Christmas time Rita was meticulous when it came to wrapping all the presents. Not one detail was overlooked. Everything was perfect. The hand writing on the tags, the placement of the bows, ribbons and wrapping paper.
Rita was the dear sister of Henry Corrado and his wife Patricia of Bermuda, and Robert Corrado Sr. of Stoneham. She was the loving aunt to Angela (Corrado) Delmonte and her husband Don, of Cape Coral, FL, and Christine (Corrado) Malcolm and her husband Benn, of Bermuda, Priscilla (Corrado) Rushton and her husband David of Toronto, Canada, Robert Corrado, Jr. of Medford, Anthony Corrado and his wife Lisa, of Melrose, and Michael Corrado and his wife Wendy, of Bermuda. She was the great aunt of Michelle and William Blanco, Stephen Corrado, and the great-great aunt of Bella Rose Blanco, all of Cape Coral, FL.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family on Thursday, February 27th from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, followed by a funeral mass celebrated at St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
