Obituary

Kanella A. (Grecoe) Denoncourt, a resident of Bradford, MA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on February 18, 2020. Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on August 27, 1957, she was the beloved daughter of the late John H., Jr. and Wanda M. (Garczynski) Grecoe.

Kanella was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Lowell and received a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was employed by the Internal Revenue Service in Andover for over twenty years. In her spare time, Kanella enjoyed shopping, vacationing with her family and friends and exploring the New England area. Kanella loved to go out with her friends on their monthly outings. She especially looked forward to Restaurant Week and the enjoyment of sampling new cuisines.

Kanella had a passion for the Arts and loved to share that with her children and grandchildren. She had a huge heart, was very giving and a selfless person. Above all, Kanella was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed.

Kanella is survived by her loving daughters; Trisha A. Denoncourt of Andover, MA and Melissa A. Denoncourt of Bradford, MA; siblings; Kim M. and her husband Keith H. Sherwood of Landrum, SC, John H., III and his wife Nancy J. Grecoe of New Market, NH, Kane J. Greco of Indialantic, FL and Francine and her husband Geoffrey P. McConnell of Arlington, MA and grandchildren; Julian, Abigail, Alexander and Tristan. Nieces; Erin, Talia and Keelyn. Kanella was also the sister of the late Karen L. Astle. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Kanella’s life at 11:00 am; followed by a service at the funeral home at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, MA. Interment will be privately held.
