Della Scarborough Barrett, 68, of Ocilla passed away Friday, February 21, 2020, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2020, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Josh Bowles officiating. Mrs. Barrett will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, February 24, 2020, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Brandon Bowen, Tyler McMillan, Bradley Layfield, Drake Hood, Jamaal Shaw and Nicholas Hand will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Hayden Braswell and Ayden Delk.
Born March 15, 1951 in Tifton, Mrs. Barrett was the daughter of the late Oscar Durrell Scarborough and Catherine Copeland Scarborough. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Barrett; and one brother, Danny Scarborough. Before retiring, she was employed in management and she attended Ocilla Church of God.
Mrs. Barrett is survived by her children and their spouses, Shannon and Eddie Bowen of Tifton and Vickie and Joel Delk and Sean and Lee Ann McMillan, all of Ocilla; two brothers, Larry Scarborough of Tifton and Rick Scarborough of McCalla, Alabama; twelve grandchildren, Caroline Salinas, Britney Baker, Brandon Bowen, Elexis Hand, Tori Shaw, Drake Hood, Ayden Delk, Kristen McMillan, Hope Layfield, Tyler McMillan, Hayden Braswell and Emma McMillan; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
