Obituary

FOLLOWING THE MANDATE AND PROTOCOL FROM GOVERNOR BAKER, THE CALLING HOURS THAT WERE SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY EVENING HAVE BEEN POSTPONED FOR NOW.

Stuart Lyle Mailman, 58, of South Yarmouth, Massachusetts passed away peacefully February 16th, 2020.

Born in Newton, Massachusetts on March 8th, 1961 he was the son of the late Judith (Storey) Mailman of Sherborn, Massachusetts and the late Lyle Mailman and his wife Susan of Venice, Florida.

He grew up in Sherborn and attended Dover Sherborn High School, Class of 1979. He lived his entire life in New England, spending time in New Hampshire, Maine and eventually settling on Cape Cod.

He is survived by his beloved children: Courtney Keith and her husband Kristopher of Rehoboth, Massachusetts; Katie Mailman of Austin, Texas; Tori Mailman of White River Junction, Vermont; Cameron and Tyler Mailman, both of Denmark, Maine. He leaves one granddaughter, Emily Keith of Rehoboth, Massachusetts. Besides his children, he also leaves his two brothers: David Mailman and his wife Patricia of Medway, Massachusetts, Bruce Mailman and his wife Laurie of Freedom, New Hampshire, nieces Brittany Mailman, Lacey Ricker and nephew Jacob Mailman.

He was an avid skier most of his life and attended Wildcat Ski Academy where he was a member of their race team. His love and talent as an auto body technician resulted in many, many restoration projects over the years but undoubtedly his favorite project was his Chevrolet pickup truck. He had a strong passion and love for selling and trading antiques as well.

Stuart accumulated an abundance of friends through the years, always willing to help any of them and enjoyed doing so. He will be fondly remembered for his fun loving character, jokes and uplifting spirit.

Burial will be private.
