Morton H. Kahn 85, of Norfolk, died peacefully, with loved one’s at his side, Tuesday February 18, 2020 following a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Berta (Robinson) Kahn, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage.
Born March 20, 1934, in Patchogue, New York, the only child of the late Barney and Belle (Solberg) Kahn, he was a former resident of Uxbridge, MA, New Jersey and Long Island, New York before moving to Norfolk.
He was raised and educated in Long Island and received his Master’s degree from Union College. Morton worked as an engineer for the former Bell Labs, until retiring.
He enjoyed building boat models, music, reading, woodworking, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Brenda S. Goodman and her husband Stanley of Norfolk and Mitchell B. “Mitch” Kahn and his wife Ann of New Jersey.
Also surviving are his grandchildren, Samuel, Sarah and Aren Kahn.
Morton’s services and burial at Mt. Ararat Cemetery, in New York will be held at a later date.
