Virginia G. Snyder passed away peacefully on February 16, 2020, at 90 years of age after a very brief period of declining health.
Virginia was a lifelong resident of Malden. She was a graduate of Malden High School class of 1947 and member of the National Honor Society. Virginia was an avid gardener and loved raking leaves. She also liked cake decorating and taking care of her house.
Virginia was the wife of the late Norman G. Snyder. She was the only child of the late Thomas and Mildred Grantham. Virginia was the beloved mother of Joy Turcotte and her husband Richard of Malden, Jill Linden and her husband Patrick of Malden, and the late Julie and Jane Snyder. She was the loving companion of the late Ed Ryan. Virginia was the cherished grandmother of Amy Chaves and her husband Paul, Ben and Sean Turcotte, Caroline Linden, and great grandmother of Hayley and Lincoln Chaves. She will be greatly missed by her family, many friends, and her little dog Luv.
A funeral service will be held at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Saturday February 22nd at 11:30am. Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:30am prior to the service. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
