Jean M. (McCauley) Findlay, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at her home in Charlestown. She was 70 years of age.
Jean was born in Boston on February 10, 1950, a daughter of the late Mary E. (Sullivan) McCauley and J.D. McCauley. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended St. Catherine's Parochial School and graduated from Charlestown High School. Jean worked as an Aide for the special needs at the Life Focus Center and for the elderly at the Zelma Lacey House in Charlestown.
Jean is the devoted mother of Kerry A. McKinley and Christopher S. Findlay and his partner Stephanie Gover. She is the loving grandmother of Brady Sullivan McKinley and Kacey Feeley. She is the beloved sister of Carol A. Splaine and her husband William, Arthur J. Pelton and his partner Maria Gnerre, and the late Jerry D. McCauley. She is the dear lifelong friend of Joe Shaaf. She is the beloved aunt of Kelly Killoran and her husband Michael, and Shawna Pelton and her partner Thomas Bailey. She is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jean's Funeral Mass on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 10 A.M. in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her burial will be private. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
