Nicholas D. Tzinas, 69, of Manchester, died February 5, 2006, at Catholic Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Kerasovo “Agia Paraskevi” Greece, August 16, 1936, and was the son of Demetrios and Lefko Thayer (Loulias) Tzinas. He served in the Greek Army, and had been a Manchester area resident for more than 40 years.
He was a self-employed building contractor.
Mr. Tzinas was a member of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Church.
Family members include his wife, Esther L. (Dellner) Tzinas of Manchester; three children, Thayer Sherman and her husband Mark, of Austin, Tx, George Tzinas and his wife Daniella, of Miami, FL, and Voula Tzinas, of Phoenix, AZ; a grandchild, Bruno Nicholas Tzinas of Miami, FL; a brother, Andreas Tzinas, of Lakoma, Greece; his mother in-law, Theresa Dellner of Allenstown; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, John Tzinas, Ari Tzinas and George Tzinas.
The funeral was held Thursday February 9, 2006 at Assumption of the Virgin Mary Church, 111 Island Pond Rd., Manchester. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery.
